Rayshawn Askew
Rayshawn Askew (born March 28, 1979) is an American former professional football running back. He played in the National Indoor Football League, Continental Indoor Football League and United Indoor Football. College career After planning on going to Purdue University, he decided against it after head coach, Jim Colletto resigned, and instead attended Elizabeth City State University. He was a four-year starter and received a bachelor's degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine, finishing with honors including a 3.6 GPA. He was a 2000 2nd Team All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Associatian All-Academic honoree. Tallied 2,134 career rushing yards and led his team in rushing for three years and receiving two years despite being on a team that won just five games in four years. Cincinnati Commandos
The Cincinnati Commandos were a professional indoor football team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The team suspended operations for the 2013 season, with hope of returning in 2014. They began play in 2010 as an expansion team in the Continental Indoor Football League before moving to the United Indoor Football League in 2012. The Commandos then left the UIFL after winning Ultimate Bowl II and re-joined the CIFL, but never took the field after its announcement. Jim Colletto
Jim Colletto (born October 4, 1944) is a former American football player and coach. He attended Monterey High School (1958–1962) where he was an all conference baseball and football player and starter on the varsity basketball team. At UCLA Colletto was all conference in baseball and football; where he led the team in rushing as a sophomore and as a senior defensive end was captain of the UCLA team that beat Michigan State in the 1966 Rose Bowl. He served as the head football coach at California State University, Fullerton from 1975 to 1979 and at Purdue University from 1991 to 1996, compiling a career college football record of 38–80–4. Colletto was the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, replacing Mike Martz, who was fired on January 2, 2008. United Indoor Football
United Indoor Football (UIF) was an indoor American football league in the United States that operated from 2005 to 2008. Ten owners from the National Indoor Football League, including one expansion (the Dayton Warbirds, which never played a game in UIF) and two from arenafootball2 (af2) took their franchises and formed their own league. The league was based in Omaha, Nebraska. On July 22, 2008, it was announced that the UIF would be merging with the Intense Football League for the 2009 season. The National Indoor Football League (NIFL) was a professional indoor football league in the United States.
