Raymore–Peculiar High School
Raymore–Peculiar High School (Ray-Pec) is a public high school in Peculiar, Missouri. It is a part of the Raymore-Peculiar School District. The school's mascot is the Panther, and the official colors are black, white, and gold. It is also a participant in Missouri's A+ Program. The boundary of its school district, and therefore its attendance boundary, includes sections of Cass County, Missouri. This includes all of Peculiar and Raymore as well as an eastern portion of Belton, sections of Lee's Summit, and much of Lake Winnebago, as well as unincorporated areas. It is commonly referred to as "Ray-Pec." Academics Dual-Credit Raymore–Peculiar High School is also a participant in the dual-credit program, where students earn high school credit and also college credit hours. Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers college-level curriculum, curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations. The AP curriculum for each of the various subjects is created for the College Board by a panel of experts and college-level educators in that Discipline (academia), field of study. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense (sports), offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. Chase Coffman
Chase Allen Coffman (born November 10, 1986) is a former American football tight end. He played college football for the University of Missouri, earned consensus All-American honors, and was recognized as the best college tight end in the country. He was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Early years Coffman was born in Lee's Summit, Missouri and played high school football at Raymore–Peculiar High School in nearby Peculiar. Coffman had a great high school career receiving passes from his younger brother Carson. He earned first-team all-state honors three times and was a two-time first-team all-district and all-conference pick. During his senior year in 2004, he was named conference player of the year and won the Simone Award after catching 41 passes for 886 yards and 16 touchdowns. International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate (IB), formerly known as the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), is a nonprofit foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1968.
