Raye (singer)
Rachel Agatha Keen, (born 24 October 1997) known professionally as Raye (stylised in all caps), is a British singer and songwriter. In 2016, she rose to prominence by featuring on the singles; " By Your Side" by Jonas Blue and " You Don't Know Me" by Jax Jones, the latter peaking at number three on the UK Singles Chart and both being certified platinum or higher by the BPI. Raye was short-listed for the BBC Music Sound of... award for 2017 and was named in third place. Her debut mini-album, '' Euphoric Sad Songs'' was released in November 2020 and spawned in the UK top-10 single " Secrets". In July 2021, Raye parted ways with her record label Polydor Records. Her debut studio album, '' My 21st Century Blues'', will be released on 3 February 2023. The album was preceded by the single "Escapism", which peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart and became her first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Charlotta Elisabeth van der Lith (21 November 1700, in The Hague – 5 August 1753, in Paramaribo), was a plantation owner in Dutch Surinam; married to three governors in 1724–1737 and the leader of the opposition party of the settlers, Cabale, in 1742–1753. Life Daughter of the Lutheran priest Diederich van der Lith (1660–1723) professor of philosophy, and Elisabeth Baldina Helvetius (1679–1748). Married in 1722 to Hendrik Temminck (1680–1727) governor in Surinam; in 1729 to Charles Emilius Hendrik de Cheusses, (1702–1734), governor in Surinam; in 1737 to Joan Raye (1698–1737), governor in Surinam; in 1742 to Antoine Audra, priest; and in 1748 in Paramaribo to priest Martin Louis Duvoisin (d. 1751). Déversion De La Raye
The balancing of incoming and outgoing water allows the Canal du Midi to operate as it does. Each time a lock operates, large quantities of water are either required to fill it or dump from it into the lower level pound. There must be a constant source of water in order to fill and the excess water dumped must have a place to exit the canal without it overflowing. Being able to provide this water source was one of the most important problems to be solved by Pierre Paul Riquet, its creator. In the canal's original configuration of 1687, water was provided by the Rigole de la plaine from the River Sor and from the Bassin de Saint-Ferréol. The Bassin de Lampy was added later. Since the drought of 1989-1990, water can also be made available from the Lac de Montbel. Anse La Raye
Anse La Raye or Anse-La-Raye is the largest town and seat of the Anse la Raye District of Saint Lucia. It is located on the island's western side, near Marigot Bay, and has several examples of French and English colonial architecture. History The name ''Anse la Raye'' is derived from the rays that are found in the bay, the English translation means ''Bay of Rays''. Two rivers flow into the bay, these are the Grande Rivière de l'Anse la Raye and the Petite Rivière de l'Anse la Raye. On a Friday night there is a fish fry where lobsters, fish and lambi (conch) are cooked and eaten. The fish fry is located on Front Street, which runs parallel to the beach.
