Ray Hamilton (defensive Tackle)
Ray "Sugar Bear" Hamilton (born January 20, 1951) is an American former professional American football, football player and coach. He played as a defensive tackle from 1973 through 1981 for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He also coached for the Patriots as an assistant defensive line coach in Super Bowl XX. Hamilton got his first shot as a defensive line coach for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. Hamilton was an All Big 8 defensive tackle playing college football for the Oklahoma Sooners football, Oklahoma Sooners, being named to the first team in 1971 and 1972. Hamilton is best known for an incident in the NFL playoffs, 1976-77, 1976 NFL playoffs in a first-round game against the Oakland Raiders, when Oakland's Ken Stabler threw an incompletion after Hamilton tipped the ball as he threw. Raymond George Hamilton (27 May 1909 – 6 November 1975) was an Australian politician and a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly between 1941 and 1950. He was a member of the Labor Party. Early life Hamilton was born in Singleton, New South Wales and was the son of a mercer. He was educated at the Gunnedah High School and Sydney Church of England Grammar School and became an articled clerk to a firm of solicitors in Gunnedah. He also managed his father's Gunnedah Garden Theatre. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1940 and was the associate of Justice William Owen in 1941. He served with the Second Australian Imperial Force between 1941 and 1945 and attained the rank of lieutenant. Hamilton was called to the bar in 1945 and practiced in Sydney until 1953. Billy Ray Hamilton
Billy Ray Hamilton (a.k.a. "Country") (January 31, 1949 – October 22, 2007) was an American convicted murderer who conspired with Clarence Ray Allen to murder eight witnesses to a crime committed by Allen in 1974. Hamilton met Allen in Folsom Prison in 1979. Allen befriended Hamilton and allegedly offered to pay him $25,000 to carry out the murders. At Folsom Prison, Allen used to refer to Hamilton as his "good dog", though at the time of Allen's trial, he claimed to only have met Hamilton three or four times. After Hamilton was paroled from Folsom Prison, Kenneth Allen, one of Allen's sons supplied Hamilton with $100. Hamilton and his girlfriend Connie Barbo went to Fran's Market in Fresno, California where one of the witnesses, Bryon Schletewitz worked.
