The 2021 California gubernatorial recall election was a special recall election, recall election that started in August 2021 and ended on September 14, 2021, when the majority of California voters chose not to recall incumbent Democratic Party (United States), Democratic governor Gavin Newsom, elected for the term January 2019 to January 2023. Woodland is a city in and the county seat of Yolo County, California, United States. Located approximately northwest of Sacramento, it is a part of the Sacramento metropolitan area. The population continues to grow every year, with a growth rate o0.33% annually, and a current population of 61,873. Woodland's origins date to 1850 when California gained statehood and Yolo County was established.
