Ravil Safiullin
Ravil Safovych Safiullin (; born 4 February 1955) is a Ukrainian football executive and politician who served as Minister of Youth and Sports. Biography Ravil Safiullin was born in a Tatar family. Prior to his ministerial position, Safiullin was president of Professional Football League of Ukraine between 2000 and 2008. He is still the Honorary President of PFL Ukraine. Aged 23, Safiullin graduated from the Donetsk Medical Institute in 1978 as a hygienist and epidemiologist. From 1977 to 1993 he worked at medical service. From 1994 to 2000 he worked the vice-president of FC Shakhtar Donetsk. In 2000, he was elected as the president of Professional Football League of Ukraine. Safiullin was elected as a People's Deputy of Ukraine during the 2002, 2006 and 2007 Ukrainian parliamentary elections as a member of the Party of Regions.
