Rauf Hasağası
Rauf Hasağası (6 August 1900 – 21 July 1992) was a Turkish sprinter. He competed in the men's 100 metres event at the 1924 Summer Olympics. Hasağası set several Turkish national records during his career, including over the 100 metres and 200 metres that survived throughout the 1920s. Hasağası competed for Galatasaray Athletics, and he was one of their "most important" athletes. In 1924, Hasağası won the inaugural Turkish Athletics Championships. 200 Metres
The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400-metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the '' stadion'' and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games. The 200 m places more emphasis on speed endurance than shorter sprint distances as athletes predominantly rely on anaerobic energy system during the 200 m sprint.
