Telad is an Israeli production company. The company is mostly known for being one of the three concessionaires whom ran the Israeli commercial television channel Channel 2 between the years 1993–2005. History The company was founded in the 1960s as a small production company in Jerusalem named "Idan" and provided services to the Israeli channel 1 and to TV stations worldwide. "Idan" was reestablished in 1973 into "Telad" as part of a joint establishment with the Israeli investment firm Israel Discount Bank. In the early 1990s "Telad" upgraded its position after winning the bid to operate the newly established Channel 2 and was the first of the three concessionaires to broadcast the first transmissions on the opening day of channel 2 on 4 November 1993. Avi Kushnir
Abraham Yeshayahu (Avi) Kushnir ( he, אבי קושניר, born 26 August 1960) is an Israeli comedian, actor and host. Early life During high school Kushnir studied at the youth village HaKfar HaYarok. Afterwards, during his mandatory military service, Kushnir served in an Infantry unit. After his army service Kushnir worked as a stagehand and later on began directing plays. Career His professional career as an actor began in the early 1980s when he began performing in stand-up shows. In 1985 Kushnir hosted the Festigal, an annual Israeli singing show alongside Gadi Yagil. In 1987, while he was 27 years old, Kushnir represented Israel in the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest along with Nathan Dattner, as part of the comedic duo HaBatlanim (lit. The Amazing Race
''The Amazing Race'' is an adventure reality game show franchise in which teams of two people race around the world in competition with other teams. The ''Race'' is split into legs, with teams tasked to deduce clues, navigate themselves in foreign areas, interact with locals, and perform physical and mental challenges that often highlight aspects of a location's culture, history, or economy. Over the course of the ''Race'', teams travel by airplanes, helicopters, trucks, bicycles, taxicabs, cars, trains, buses, boats and by foot.
