Gurratan Singh Aulakh, known professionally as Ratan Aulakh (Punjabi language, Punjabi: ਰਤਨ ਔਲਖ ; Hindi: रतन औलख) (born 23 September 1953) is an Indian film actor, film and television actor, film director, director, scriptwriter, writer, film producer, producer and sports promoter. Early life and career Background Ratan Aulakh was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India. He started as a theater actor before transitioning to cinema. Debut and Breakthrough Aulakh began his film career with the Hindi movie ''Mera Desh Mera Dharam'' in 1973. ''Vishnu Puran'' (also written ''Vishnupuran'') is an Indian television series, by B. R. Chopra on the Hindu deity Vishnu. It is based on the ''Bhagavata Purana''.
