Prophets in Islam ( ar, الأنبياء في الإسلام, translit=al-ʾAnbiyāʾ fī al-ʾIslām) are individuals in Islam who are believed to spread God's message on Earth and to serve as models of ideal human behaviour. Some prophets are categorized as messengers ( ar, رسل, rusul, sing. , ), those who transmit divine revelation, most of them through the interaction of an angel. Akhtar Rasool (born 13 January 1954) ( ur, اختر رسول) is a field hockey player, captain and olympian from Pakistan who won the gold medal with the Men's National Hockey Team at the Hockey World Cup 1978, and again in 1982. He played as Center Half for the Pakistan hockey team. Akhtar is considered one of the creative geniuses in centre-half recovery and ball distribution. Background and education Akhtar Rasool was born in Faisalabad District of Pakistan, formerly known as Lyallpur. His father was Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool and was himself a world-renowned hockey Olympian beside being an eminent educationist. Akhtar graduated from Government College Lahore. Muhammad Rasool (born May 23, 1985) is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a forward. Rasool won the league with K-Electric in 2014–15 season. Rasool finished season twice as the top scorer, first with Khan Research Laboratories in 2008–09 and with K-Electric 2014–15, scoring 22 goals in 26 games and 22 goals in 22 games respectively. At international level, he won the 2006 South Asian Games with the Pakistan under 23 national team. Zalmai Rassoul ( ps, زلمی رسول; born 11 May 1943) is an Afghan politician who served as Foreign Minister of Afghanistan from January 2010 to October 2013. He previously served as National Security Advisor from June 2002 to January 2010.
