Rapencross
The Rapencross Lokeren race is a cyclo-cross race held in Lokeren, Belgium. The race for professional elite riders has been held since 2018. The race is held in ''Park ter Beuken'' near the city center of Lokeren and on the banks of Durme. The literal translation of the local name of the race is ''Turnip cyclo-cross race''; turnip root is present on the flag and the coat of arms of Lokeren. The first 3 editions in 2018, 2020 and 2021 were part of the Exact Cross series. In 2023 there was no Rapencross, instead the Belgian National Cyclo-cross Championships were organized in this venue. Exact Cross
The Exact Cross is a season-long cyclo-cross competition, formerly known as the Ethias Cross and the Brico Cross, consisting of 8 rounds throughout the season in Belgium and the Netherlands. It is one of five season-long competitions, alongside the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, Cyclo-cross Superprestige, the X²O Badkamers Trophy (formerly known as the DVV Trophy, before that the BPost Bank Trophy and before that as the Gazet van Antwerpen trophy) and the Toi Toi Cup, HSF System Cup. In contrast to the other competitions, the Exact Cross does not award points or compose an overall ranking, but rather consists of separate races. Sponsored by the Belgian hardware chain Brico for the first three seasons and then by the Belgian insurance company Ethias from 2019 to 2022, its main sponsor is the enterprise software provider Exact (company), Exact. Lokeren () is a City status in Belgium, city and Municipalities in Belgium, municipality located in the Belgian Provinces of Belgium, province of East Flanders, and belongs to the Waasland, also called ''Land van Waas'', of which it is the second most important city after Sint-Niklaas. Toon Aerts (born 19 October 1993 in Malle) is a Belgian professional cyclo-cross and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Aerts is a two-time winner of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup standings ( 2018–19, 2019–20), and also won the men's elite race at the 2016 European Championships and the 2019 Belgian National Championships. His brother Thijs is also a professional cyclist. On 18 August 2023, the UCI announced that Aerts had been found guilty of a doping violation, and was banned for two years from February 2022 to February 2024. Sanne Cant (born 8 October 1990) is a Belgian former Cycle sport, racing cyclist, who last competed in cyclo-cross for UCI Cyclo-cross Crelan–Corendon, and in road cycling for UCI Women's Team, UCI Women's Continental Team . Cant's cousin Loes Sels is also a professional cyclist.
