Rantanplan
Rantanplan (; alternatively spelled Ran-Tan-Plan and Ran Tan Plan) is a fictional hound dog created by a Belgian cartoonist Morris and French writer René Goscinny. Originally a supporting character in the ''Lucky Luke'' series, Rantanplan later starred in self-titled series. Rantanplan is a spoof of the male German Shepherd Rin Tin Tin. ''Lucky Luke'' is a Western (genre), Western bande dessinée, comic album series created by Belgian cartoonist Morris (cartoonist), Morris in 1946. ''Lucky Luke'' is an animated television series based on the comic book series of the same name created by the Belgian cartoonist and creator of the franchise Morris. Vittorio Leonardo
Vittorio Leonardo (25 November 1938) is an Italians, Italian colorist of some famous Franco-Belgian comics series. He worked for ''Spirou (magazine), Spirou'' magazine and founded the ''Studio Leonardo'', which continued his work. Biography Vittorio Leonardo was born in Naples, Italy, in 1938. He left his motherland for Belgium in 1947. After various graphic experiences (charcoal, models, oil paintings), he finally dedicated himself to the comic strip. He met Morris and kept in touch with him. With the help of Morris, but also Franquin, Peyo and Remacle, Leonardo created the comics series ''Barbotine'' which allowed him to be hired by ''Spirou (magazine), Spirou'' magazine. Rin Tin Tin
Rin Tin Tin or Rin-Tin-Tin (October 10, 1918 – August 10, 1932) was a male German Shepherd born in Flirey, France, who became an international star in motion pictures. He was rescued from a World War I battlefield by an American soldier, Lee Duncan, who nicknamed him "Rinty". Duncan trained Rin Tin Tin and obtained silent film work for the dog. Rin Tin Tin was an immediate box-office success and went on to appear in 27 Hollywood films, gaining worldwide fame. Along with the earlier canine film star Strongheart, Rin Tin Tin was responsible for greatly increasing the popularity of German Shepherd dogs as family pets. Robert de Groot (26 October 1941 – 17 November 2023) was a Belgian comic books artist and writer. Career While still a young art student de Groot got his first comics experience as an assistant to Maurice Tillieux on ''Félix''. Jolly Jumper is a horse character in the Franco-Belgian comics series ''Lucky Luke'', created by Belgium, Belgian artist Morris (comics), Morris. Described as "the smartest horse in the west" and able to perform tasks such as chess-playing and tightrope walking, Jolly Jumper accompanies his cowboy in their travels across the Wild West, and delivers frequent quips.
