Ranks In The Scout Association Of Japan
The is symbolized by the earning of several rank badges. Rank insignia Beaver and Cub Scouts Beaver Scouting is the youngest section of Scouting with members younger than Cub Scouts, aged five to eight. The program is based on the Scouts Canada concept of co-operating and sharing. Members normally wear a brown vest as a uniform with a blue Beaver cap. The program is based around a specially written story called ''Friends of the Forest''. Badges are elongate light blue ovals with turquoise or vermilion borders, based on their Canadian counterparts. All Cub Scouts first work on their Squirrel badge to complete the Cub Scout joining requirements, which include knowing the Cub Scout motto and salute. Neckerchief
A neckerchief (from ''neck'' (n.) + ''kerchief''), sometimes called a necker, kerchief or scarf, is a type of neckwear associated with those working or living outdoors, including farm labourers, cowboys and sailors. It is most commonly still seen today in the Scouts, Girl Guides and other similar youth movements. A neckerchief consists of a triangular piece of cloth or a rectangular piece folded into a triangle. The long edge is rolled towards the point, leaving a portion unrolled. The neckerchief is then fastened around the neck with the ends either tied or clasped with a slide or woggle. Rover Scout (Scout Association Of Japan)
Rover Scouts, Rovers, Rover Scouting or Rovering is a program associated with some Scouting organizations for adult men and women. A group of Rovers is called a 'Rover Crew'. Rovers was originated by The Scout Association, The Boy Scouts Association in the United Kingdom in 1918 to provide a program for young men who had grown up beyond the age range of the Boy Scouts. It was adopted by many other Scouting organisations. Many Scouting organisations, including The Scout Association in the UK, no longer include a Rover program. Some have replaced it with other programs while others, including Traditional Scouting organisations, maintain the original program. Venture Scout
Venturer or Venture Scouts are programs in some Scouting organisations for young people of various age ranges in the 14–20 age range. A participant in the program is called a Venturer. Australia The Venturer Scout program in Scouts Australia, often just known as Venturers, is a program for young people 15–18 years old as of 2018. The program is flexible, but usually with a strong outdoor flavour. The camps for this section are based on the knowledge learned by a Venturer in the scout section, and many camps are geared towards learning skills for professional and adult life. The highest award that can be earned by a Venturer Scout is the Queen's Scout award.
