Ranizai
The Ranizai are a subtribe of the Yusufzai Pashtun tribe in the Malakand District Malakand District (, ) is a Districts of Pakistan, district in the Malakand Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Until 1970, it was a part of the Malakand Protected Area of the erstwhile Provincially Administered Tribal Area(P ... in North-West Frontier Province, Pakistan. The Ranizai tribe has occupied the upper part of the district of Malakand. The various important villages include Thana, Alladand Dheri, Batkhela, Khar, Dheri Julagram, Totakan Mekhband Sholwai, and Matkani. Alladand Dheri Village was the head office. The various sub-tribes of Ranizai are Ali Khel. Ali Khel live in Village Dheri Alladand. Ali Khels are divided into 6 Khels (Branches): (1) Azi Khel, (2) Mali Khel, (3) Fateh Khel, (4) Amir Khan Khel, (5) Shahab Khel, (6) Aidal Khel. Malakand District
Malakand District (, ) is a Districts of Pakistan, district in the Malakand Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Until 1970, it was a part of the Malakand Protected Area of the erstwhile Provincially Administered Tribal Area(PATA) of Pakistan. In 1970, the district became part of the Malakand Division. Malakand District lies at a strategically important position as it acts as a gateway to the Bajaur Agency, Bajaur, Lower Dir District, Lower Dir, Swat District, Swat and Buner District, Bunair districts. It is surrounded by mountains that were covered with the varieties of trees, though they have a barren appearance nowadays. The Malakand Pass which connects Mardan to Swat and Dir is located near a region of Malakand called Dargai, a site where the local Pushtun tribes fought two fierce battles with the Imperial British Army in 1895 and 1897 (Siege of Malakand). Yusufzai
The Yusufzai or Yousafzai (, ), also referred to as the Esapzai (, ), or Yusufzai Afghans historically, are one of the largest tribes of Pashtuns. They are natively based in the northern part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ( Malakand, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Swabi, Mardan, Bajaur, Peshawar, Tor Ghar), to which they migrated from Kabul during the 16th century, but they are also present in parts of Afghanistan, including Kunar, Kabul, Kandahar and Farah. Outside of these countries, they can be found in Ghoriwala District Bannu (Mughal Khel), Balochistan Sibi (Akazai), Chagai (Hassanzai) and Rohilkandh. Most of the Yusufzai speak a northern variety of Pashto and some southern variety of Pashto (as in case of Mughal Khel) and Afghan dialect Persian. Pashtun People
