Rangaswamy Nataraja Mudaliar
Rangaswamy Nataraja Mudaliar (1885–1972), was an Indian film director. Popularly known as the father of Tamil cinema, he was a pioneer in the production of silent films. Starting his career as an automobile spare parts merchant, he started the "Indian Film Company Limited" in Madras. In 1917, Mudaliar made ''Keechaka Vadham'', South India's first silent film. Upon critical success of the film, he went on to produce films like ''Draupadhi Vastrapaharanam'' (1918), ''Lava Kusa'' (1919), ''Rukmini Satyabhama'' and ''Mayil Ravana''. After the death of his son in a fire accident in 1923, Mudaliar retired from films. Early life Mudaliar was born in Vellore, Madras Presidency, British India in a wealthy Tamil family. Rangaswamy Narasimhan (April 17, 1926 – September 3, 2007) was an Indian computer and cognitive scientist, regarded by many as the father of computer science research in India. He led the team which developed the TIFRAC, the first Indian indigenous computer and was instrumental in the establishment of CMC Limited in 1975, a Government of India company, later bought by Tata Consultancy Services. He was a recipient of the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri from the Government of India in 1977. Hotte Paksha Rangaswamy (; 1933 – 7 January 2007) was a political leader from the Indian state of Karnataka, who had a penchant for contesting elections. He is a ''Guinness World Records'' holder for having contested the highest number of elections - he unsuccessfully did so 86 times. Bilikal Ranganatha Swamy Betta is a hill near Kanakapura town in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located 70 km south of Bangalore city. Atop the hill is a temple dedicated to Lord Ranganatha Swamy. The temple and an adjacent quarters is housed underneath a huge granite rock. The hill is also known by the name ''Billikal Betta'' due to the whitish rocks near the summit that is visible from a long distance. The peak is at a height of 3780 feet (1152 m).
