Rane Khan
Rane Khan was a prominent Bhishti Muslim chief who was prominent in the Maratha empire. Rane Khan was the son of Fateh Khan, who was a resident of Deopur in the Deccan. During the Third Battle of Panipat, Rane Khan saved the life of Mahadaji Shinde about whose position he knew nothing and took him to a safe town. Shinde called him "Bhai" or brother, and appointed him to a responsible position in his army. Soon Rane Khan was appointed as his commander-in-chief. In 1787, Rane Khan defeated the Mughal army under Ismail Beg. Sindhia appointed his able general Rane Khan at the head of a large force, supported by Jiva Dad Bakhshi. On September 28, 1788, Rane Khan occupied the Old city of Delhi. Rane Khan caught Ghulam Qadir and cut off his head, sending the body to Shah Alam II. Rane Arroyo
Ramón Arroyo (November 15, 1954 – May 7, 2010) was an American playwright, poet and scholar of Puerto Rican descent who wrote numerous books and received many literary awards. He was a professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Toledo in Ohio. His work deals extensively with issues of immigration, Latino culture, and homosexuality. Rane Jonsen
Rane Jonsen (died 1294) was a Danish esquire and ''camerarius'', known for his role in the murder of Eric V of Denmark. He is mentioned in a traditional Medieval ballad as the traitor "warding his master with deceit". He owned Gjorslev Manor on the Stevns Peninsula. Biography Jonsen was born to Jon Ranesen og Elisabeth (daughter of Niels Falster). The family, which was later referred to as the Rane family, had close ties to the Hvide family. The historian Arild Huitfeldt (1546-1609) mentions him as the owner of Gjorselv Manor, but without mentioning his sources. He is only sparsely mentioned in contemporary sources. He was squire at the time of the murder of king Eric V and seems also briefly to have served as his ''Jonsen''camerarius''. Rane Willerslev
Rane Willerslev is a Danish anthropologist. In his academic career, he has travelled extensively and has a particular interest in tribal cultures, both present and prehistoric. On 1 July 2017, he was appointed director of the National Museum of Denmark by Culture Minister Mette Bock. In Denmark, Willerslev is a popular media personality, engaging in TV and radio shows, public panel debates, and interviews relating to his academic interests and his opinions on society and education at large. Rauno Korpi
Rauno "Rane" Korpi (born June 25, 1951 in Tampere, Finland) is a Finnish ice hockey coach. He coached Tappara to three consecutive Finnish Championships in SM-liiga during the years 1986-1988. He has also won one additional Finnish Championship Gold, one Silver medal and one Bronze medal. Korpi has been chosen three times as The Coach of the Year in Finland.
