Random Thoughts (Voyager Episode)
"Random Thoughts" is the 78th episode of the science fiction television series '' Voyager'', the tenth episode of season four. On a spaceship making its way back to planet Earth, they stop by an alien planet. However, they become entangled in a legal proceeding due to the actions of the crew, and they must resolve it before proceeding on. This has been noted as exploration of what it means to control emotions, as often shows have the format of a morality play in the context of science fiction adventure. This episode was written by Kenneth Biller and directed by Alexander Singer, it aired on UPN on November 19, 1997. Tuvok
Tuvok is a fictional character in the ''Star Trek'' media franchise. One of the main characters on the television series '' Star Trek: Voyager'', Tuvok is a member of the fictional Vulcan species who serves as the ship's second officer, Chief of Security, and Chief Tactical Officer. Tim Russ portrayed Tuvok throughout the show's run from 1995 to 2001, and has also been involved in subsequent portrayals. Tuvok's backstory is that, up to the time of the first episode, " Caretaker", he was working as an undercover Federation agent in a Maquis group led by Chakotay aboard the Maquis ship the ''Val Jean''. Event Horizon (film)
''Event Horizon'' is a 1997 science fiction horror film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and written by Philip Eisner. It stars Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan and Joely Richardson. Set in 2047, it follows a crew of astronauts sent on a rescue mission after a missing spaceship, the ''Event Horizon'', spontaneously appears in orbit around Neptune, only to discover that a sinister force has come back with it. Seven of Nine (born Annika Hansen) is a fictional character introduced in the American science fiction television series '' Star Trek: Voyager''. Portrayed by Jeri Ryan, she is a former Borg drone who joins the crew of the Federation starship ''Voyager''. Her full Borg designation was Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One. Neelix
Neelix () is a character in the science fiction television series '' Star Trek: Voyager'', played by actor Ethan Phillips since the series' inception. Neelix is an alien native to the distant far side of the galaxy, who has joined the crew of the United Federation of Planets starship USS ''Voyager'' as a cook, morale officer and later as ambassador after its being captured by a mysterious shock wave to the Delta Quadrant. Casting Neelix was played by actor Ethan Phillips. Phillips had a master's degree in fine arts from Cornell University, and had his start in acting performing on Broadway shows. Brig
A brig is a type of sailing vessel defined by its rig: two masts which are both square-rigged. Brigs originated in the second half of the 18th century and were a common type of smaller merchant vessel or warship from then until the latter part of the 19th century. In commercial use, they were gradually replaced by fore-and-aft rigged vessels such as schooners, as owners sought to reduce crew costs by having rigs that could be handled by fewer men. B'Elanna Torres
B'Elanna Torres is a main character in '' Star Trek: Voyager'' played by Roxann Dawson. She is portrayed as a half-human half-Klingon born in 2346 on the Federation colony Kessik IV. She was admitted to Starfleet academy but dropped out before graduating. Torres joined the Maquis in 2370 and was serving on the ''Val Jean'' when taken to the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker alien using his station.
