Rammam River is river in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India. It originates in the Singalila range and has much of its course through Darjeeling district. One city that the river flows through is Murmidang. Lodhoma River is a tributary of Rammam. Rammam finally merges with the Rangeet River near Jorethang. Darjeeling District
Darjeeling District is the northernmost district of the state of West Bengal in eastern India in the foothills of the Himalayas. The district is famous for its hill station and Darjeeling tea. Darjeeling is the district headquarters. Kurseong, Siliguri and Mirik, three major towns in the district, are the subdivisional headquarters of the district. Kalimpong was one of the subdivisions but on 14 February 2017, it officially became a separate Kalimpong district. Geographically, the district can be divided into two broad divisions: the hills and the plains. The entire hilly region of the district comes under the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration, a semi-autonomous administrative body under the state government of West Bengal. Singalila Ridge
The Singalila Ridge is a north–south mountain ridge running from northwestern West Bengal through Sikkim in the Indian part of the Himalayas. The district of Ilam in Nepal falls on the western part of this ridge. The ridge separates mountain ranges of West Bengal from other Himalayan ranges to its west. The two highest peaks of West Bengal, Sandakphu () and Phalut () are located on the ridge. The Singalila National Park encompasses the ridge. It is noted for its views of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. The trek from Manebhanjan to Sandakphu and Phalut is popular amongst adventure travelers, as is mountain biking. Rangeet River
The Rangeet or Rangit is a tributary of the Teesta river, which is the largest river in the Indian state of Sikkim. The Rangeet river originates in the Himalayan mountains in West Sikkim district. The river also forms the boundary between Sikkim and Darjeeling district. A perennial river, it is fed by the melting snow of the Himalayas in early summer and the monsoon rains in June–September. Jorethang is a major town in Namchi district in the Indian state of Sikkim. Jorethang lies on the bank of Rangeet River, which is a tributary of the Teesta River, on the way to Pelling from Darjeeling, Siliguri and Kalimpong.
