Ramiz Mammadov
Ramiz Mammadov (born 15 August 1968) is an Azerbaijani former football player. Sometimes he is confused with his Muscovite colleague Ramiz Mamedov. He played between 1992 and 2005, for teams such as FC Kapaz (Ganja), Garabag (Agdam), Kur (Mingacevir), Shafa (Baku), and Turan (Tovuz). Toward the end of his career, he played in Iran. He also competed internationally for Azerbaijan. Career statistics International career Mammadov's only goal for Azerbaijan came on 27 July 2000 in a 1–2 defeat to Macedonia. Aghdam
Aghdam ( az, Ağdam) is a ghost town and the nominal capital of the Aghdam District of Azerbaijan. Founded in the 18th century, it was granted city status in 1828 and grew considerably during the Soviet period. Aghdam lies from Stepanakert at the eastern foot of the Karabakh Range, on the outskirts of the Karabakh plain. Before the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, butter, wine and brandy, machine, and silk factories, an airport and two railway stations functioned there. By 1989, Aghdam had 28,031 inhabitants. As Azerbaijani forces withdrew from Karabakh following political turmoil in the country during the war, Armenian forces captured Aghdam in July 1993. The heavy fighting forced the city's population to flee eastwards. Upon the seizure, Armenian forces sacked the town. Until 2020, it was almost entirely ruined and uninhabited. Ramiz Mamedov
Ramiz Mamedov ( az, Ramiz Məmmədov; russian: Рамиз Мамедов; born 21 August 1972) is a retired Soviet and Russian football player of Azerbaijani descent, best known as a defender for Spartak Moscow in the 1990s. Club career Mamedov's career as player started in 1991 and finished in 2003, during this time he played for Spartak Moscow, Arsenal Tula, Krylia Sovetov, FC Dynamo Kyiv, SK Sturm Graz, Volgar-Gazprom and Luch-Energiya. International career As a member of the Russia national under-21 football team, Mamedov competed at the 1994 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in France. Kapaz PFK ( az, Kəpəz Peşəkar Futbol Klubu, ), is an Azerbaijani football club based in Ganja, which competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the highest tier of Azerbaijan football. The club was founded as Toxucu in 1959. They have won the Azerbaijani Championship 3 times and the Azerbaijani Football Cup 4 times. The team's colours are yellow and blue. Kapaz won their second title and Qarabağ and the Azerbaijan U-18 team were relegated. Khazri Buzovna pulled out of the league and dissolved after 8 games, as did Kur Nur at the end of the season. The 1994-95 Azerbaijan Top League was the fourth season of the Azerbaijan Top League and was contested by 13 clubs with 2 points awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and no points were awarded for a defeat. Turan Tovuz were unable to defend their championship, with Kəpəz becoming the champions for the first time.
