Ramiro Ramírez
Ramiro Ramírez Estenor (January 27, 1896 – death unknown) was a Cuban professional baseball outfielder and manager in the Negro leagues and Cuban League. A native of Guanabacoa, Cuba, Ramírez made his Negro leagues debut in 1916 for the Cuban Stars (East). He went on to play into the 1930s, including stints in the Cuban League with Almendares and Marianao. He served as player/manager of the Cuban House of David/Pollock's Cuban Stars from 1931 to 1933. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch Batted ball, fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the Baseball, bases. Marianao (Cuban League Baseball Club)
The Marianao baseball club played in the Cuban Professional League from the 1922–1923 season through to the 1960–1961 season. The club represented the populous town of Marianao in Havana and played their games at La Tropicana Stadium, official site of the league. History According to some baseball historians, the Elefantes de Marianao (Marianao Elephants) was the first nickname used by the team.
