Ramboda Falls
Ramboda Falls is high and the eleventh tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 729th tallest waterfall in the world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. Senanayake 2004: p. 70 The waterfall is formed by the Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. The falls have an elevation above sea level. Ramboda
Ramboda is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province. The Ramboda Road Tunnel is currently the longest road tunnel in Sri Lanka and is situated on the A5 highway (Perandenyia - Nuwara Eliya Road), close to Ramboda falls. It is long, wide and high. Construction of the tunnel began in 2006, and it opened in February 2008. The tunnel cost Rs. 2,000M and was substantially funded by the Japanese Government. The 1,000 rupee banknote, issued 4 February 2011, features an artist's impression of the Ramboda tunnel, with the rock wall at the same location before construction. The Wavenden Estate in Ramboda was the birthplace of the British Admiral of the Fleet, Lord Fisher. Kotmale Oya
The Kotmale River ( si, කොත්මලේ ඔය ) is the longest tributary of Mahaweli River. The river begins as the Agra Oya, in the Horton Plains. The Central Plains have an annual rainfall of between 125 and 200 inches a year. The river is approximately long and drains a basin of about 58,534 ha (226 square miles). The river flows through a traditional area of ancient villages and tea plantations. King Dutugemunu spent his youth here. The Kotmale Oya flows into the Mahaweli shortly at Pallegama. Tributaries of the Kotmale Oya include the Nanu Oya, the Pundalu Oya, the Puna Oya, and the Dambagastalawa Oya. The river was dammed between 1979 and 1985 as part of a hydro-electric project within the Accelerated Mahaweli Ganga scheme. The opening ceremony took place in August 1985. Aabey, also spelled Abey ( ar, عبيه), is a village located in Mount Lebanon, in Aley District of Mount Lebanon Governorate. It is located from Beirut and has an altitude of 800 m (2,600 feet). Pussellawa
''Pussellawa'' si, පුස්සැල්ලාව. ta, புசல்லாவ, is a l town in Kandy District, Sri Lanka. It is located along the A5 road between Gampola and Nuwara Eliya. Legend says ancient kings of Gampola Kingdom established by the great King Buvanekabahu IV. (1341–1357) when threatened by enemies used to hide among in the inaccessible terrain around Pussellawa and Kothmale. These inaccessible terrains later became the world best known Tea Plantations.
