''Amaro'' (Italian language, Italian for 'bitter') is an Italian herbal liqueur that is commonly consumed as an after-dinner Apéritif and digestif, digestif. Canelli (Piedmontese: ''Canèj'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region of Piedmont. As of 31 January 2024 it has a population of 10,022 Canelli is located on a bend of the river Belbo in the ''Alto Monferrato'' (High Monferrat), close to the border with the Langhe.
