Raman Kapoor is an Indian singer and songwriter from Gurgaon, India. He was a contestant on the TV shows '' Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'' and '' Rising Star''. He is known for his songs "Neat Daru", "Do Ghunt Pilade", "Punjabi Song Saiyaan", "Mere Rashke Qamar" Career Raman pursued his Sangeet Visharad (Diploma in music) from one of the most prestigious institutions, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi in Delhi. Currently, he is working on his debut Punjabi album with T-Series As a singer He is the lead singer of a band called OCP. Raman has also performed with renowned Bollywood singer, Mika Singh. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi
Gandharva Mahavidyalaya New Delhi is an institution established in 1939 to popularize Indian classical music and dance. The Mahavidyalaya (school) came into being to perpetuate the memory of Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, the great reviver of Hindustani classical music, and to keep up the ideals set down by him. The first Gandharva Mahavidyalaya was established by him on 5 May 1901 at Lahore. The New Delhi school follows the syllabi set by the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. ''Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'' is an Indian Hindi-language reality singing television show. It started airing on Zee TV in 1995 as ''Sa Re Ga Ma''. It is the oldest running game show in India as well as the oldest show on private television in India. The name of the show is derived from the first five notes in the octave of classical Indian music. History The first episode aired on 1 May 1995 and was hosted by Sonu Nigam. ''Rising Star (Indian TV series), Rising Star'' is the second Indian version of the international franchise series ''Rising Star (TV series), Rising Star'', a reality television singing competition.
