Malayattoor Ramakrishnan
K. V. Ramakrishna Iyer, better known by his pen name, Malayattoor Ramakrishnan (27 May 1927 – 27 December 1997), was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature, cartoonist, lawyer, Magistrate, judicial magistrate, and Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. He was best known for his novels, short stories and biographical sketches and his works include ''Yanthram'', ''Verukal'', ''Yakshi (novel), Yakshi'' and ''Service Story – Ente IAS Dinangal''. He received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Novel in 1967. He was also a recipient of the Vayalar Award in 1979. Venki Ramakrishnan
Venkatraman Ramakrishnan (born 1952) is a British-American structural biologist. He shared the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Thomas A. Steitz and Ada Yonath for research on the structure and function of ribosomes. Since 1999, he has worked as a group leader at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, UK and is a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. Alladi Ramakrishnan (9 August 1923 – 7 June 2008) was an Indian physicist and the founder of the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (Matscience) in Chennai. He made contributions to stochastic process, particle physics, algebra of matrices, special theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. Early life Ramakrishnan was born on 9 August 1923 in Madras. His father was the lawyer Sir Alladi Krishnaswami Iyer, who, as a member of the Constituent Assembly, was instrumental in drafting the Constitution of India with other prominent members. Raghu Ramakrishnan is a researcher in the areas of database and information management. He is a Technical Fellow at Microsoft. He has been a Vice President and Research Fellow for Yahoo! Inc. Ramakrishnan spent 22 years as a professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. With Johannes Gehrke, he authored the popular textbook ''Database Management Systems'', also known as the "Cow Book". Ramakrishnan is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. Since his debut in Rajmohan's rural drama ''Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum'' (2009), he has worked in leading and supporting roles in films including ''Pongadi Neengalum Unga Kadhalum'' (2014) and ''Oru Kanavu Pola'' (2017). Career Ramakrishnan started out as an assistant to director K. Balachander and later worked with director Cheran (director), Cheran, with the aim of becoming a director. He later changed his mind when S. P. B. Charan asked him to play the lead in the rural drama ''Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum'' (2009) directed by Rajmohan.
