Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College
Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, popularly known as Rahara V.C. College, is one of the best colleges in India, it is a boys college, currently autonomous and affiliated to the West Bengal State University. It is named after Swami Vivekananda. It was formerly affiliated with the Calcutta University. It is administered by the Ramakrishna Mission Order. The college is situated in Rahara, Khardaha, North 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal, India. The college is ranked 3rd among colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024. Courses The college offers undergraduate level courses in Chemistry, Botany, Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Microbiology and Computer Science leading to the honours degree. Ramakrishna Mission
Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission (RKM) is a spiritual and philanthropic organisation headquartered in Belur Math, West Bengal. The mission is named after the Indian Hindu spiritual guru and mystic Ramakrishna. The mission was founded by Ramakrishna's chief disciple Swami Vivekananda on 1 May 1897. The organisation mainly propagates the Hindu philosophy of Vedanta– Advaita Vedanta and four yogic ideals – Jnana, Bhakti, Karma, and Raja yoga. The following is the list of institutions started by/affiliated to Ramakrishna Mission. As of 1 April 2024, the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission have 279 branch centres all over the world. Ujjwal Maulik is an Indian computer scientist and educator. He is a professor and former head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Manoj Prasad (born 16 December 1970) is an Indian plant geneticist, molecular biologist and working as a professor in Department of Genetics at Delhi University. Sarada Devi
Sri Sarada Devi ( Bengali: সারদা দেবী; ; 22 December 1853 – 20 July 1920), born Kshemankari / Thakurmani / Saradamani Mukhopadhyay, was the wife and spiritual consort of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, a nineteenth-century Hindu mystic.
