Francis Ramacciotti
Francis Ramacciotti (''c.'' 1826 Livorno, Grand Duchy of Tuscany – 13 June 1891 Manhattan) was a Grand Duchy of Tuscany-born inventor who founded a major piano string manufacturer in the United States. Career Ramacciotti was reportedly associated with Garibaldi and held a military rank. Ramaciotti immigrated to the US in 1848, moving to Buffalo, New York. He apprenticed in a piano company in Buffalo before founding his own piano string company, the F. Ramacciotti company, in 1852. While in Buffalo, Ramociotti played bassoon as a member of the Metropolitan Theater Orchestra under the direction of Albert Benjamin Poppendorf (1819–1900). Ramacciotti – on June 12, 1952, in Buffalo – married Rachel Caroline Rendt (''maiden''; 1833–1914) of Detroit. Giovanni Battista Ramacciotti was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, as well as an engraver and priest, active in Siena. He was a priest of Siena, who lived about the middle of the 17th century, and practised portrait and historical painting. Luis Ramacciotti
Aurelio Luigi Ramacciotti, known as Luis Ramacciotti (born 1886) was an Italy, Italian-Argentina, Argentine sculptor. Ramacciotti was born in Capannori, Tuscany. He emigrated to Argentina in 1915, where he lived till his death. Work Ramacciotti's best-known work is the statue of Christ in La Cumbre, Córdoba, La Cumbre, Córdoba, Argentina. The work was inaugurated on July 9, 1954 and has a height of 9 meters. It was commissioned by the parish priest José Luis de Murueta and is located in the mountain range called the La Viarapa. He is also the author of the figure of a maiden on the facade of the "Yesería la Helvética", in the city of Córdoba, Argentina, Córdoba. The factory had been founded by Pedro Righetti in 1885. Lorenzo Ramaciotti
Lorenzo Ramaciotti (born 1948) is an Italian car designer. Ramaciotti started his career with Pininfarina in 1972 and retired in 2005. In 2007 he became Group Chief of Design at Fiat Group Automobiles, responsible for all the Fiat Group brands, including Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Maserati. In 2015 he was replaced by Ralph Gilles. Career Ramaciotti was born in Modena. He graduated from Polytechnic University of Turin with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1972, and joined Pininfarina after graduating. He was appointed General Manager of Pininfarina Studi e Ricerche in early 1988 and in 2002 became managing director and CEO of Pininfarina Ricerca and Sviluppo and retired in 2005. In 2007 he joined Fiat Group as Group Chief of Design after being head-hunted by Fiat's CEO Sergio Marchionne, overseeing design of all the Group marques. Gustave Ramaciotti
Major General Gustave Mario Ramaciotti, (13 March 1861 – 6 December 1927) was an Australian law clerk, theatrical manager and soldier who was well known in Sydney's legal services. Early life and career Ramaciotti was born in Livorno, Italy, on 13 March 1861. He arrived in Queensland, Australia, in his teenage years, and in 1878 joined the Rockhampton Volunteers, Queensland Defence Force as a private. In 1880 he was naturalised. He became a law clerk and married Ada Wilson in 1882. As managing clerk of the conveyancing department of Minter Simpson & Co, he became well known in Sydney legal circles until his retirement from law in 1904. He became a partner in Australia's largest theatrical company with J. C. Williamson and George Tallis. After selling his shares in J C Williamson Ltd he bought the Theatre Royal in King Street, Sydney, the neighbouring Sutton's Hotel and adjoining land at the rear of these properties. Vera Ramaciotti (19 March 1891–1982) was an Australian philanthropist who with her brother, Clive Ramaciotti, established the Clive and Vera Ramaciotti Foundation. Life Ramaciotti was the only daughter of Major General Gustave Ramaciotti CMG, the owner of the Theatre Royal in King Street, Sydney, Australia.
