Ram Raid Offending And Related Measures Amendment Bill
The Ram Raid Offending and Related Measures Amendment Bill is a proposed New Zealand Act of Parliament that would add ram raids and other "smash and grab" offenses to the Crimes Act 1961 and give Police the power to prosecute juvenile ram raiders including 12 and 13-year olds. On 4 February 2025, the legislation was halted by the Sixth National Government of New Zealand, Sixth National Government in favour of proposed legislation targeting youth offenders.
