Ram Naresh Rawat (7 May 1962 – 4 September 2022) was an Indian politician and a member of 17th Legislative Assembly, Uttar Pradesh of India. He represented the ‘Bachhrawan’ constituency in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh. Political career Ram Naresh Rawat contested Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election as Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and defeated his close contestant Shahab Sharan from Indian National Congress with a margin of 22,309 votes. Bachhrawan
Bachhrawan is a town and nagar panchayat in Raebareli district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is the seat of a community development block. It is located on the main Raebareli-Lucknow road, at the intersection with roads leading to Maharajganj, Haidergarh, and Gurbakhshganj. The railway runs parallel with the Raebareli-Lucknow road, and there is a train station on the west side of town. First upgraded to municipal status in 1935, Bachhrawan hosts a Ramlila festival on Asvina Sudi 10, which involves a dramatic reenactment of the Ramayana. Pasi (caste)
The Pasi (also spelled Passi) is a Dalit (untouchable) community of India. Pasi refers to tapping Palm toddy, toddy, a traditional occupation of the Pasi community. The Pasi are divided into Gujjar, Kaithwas, and Boria (caste), Boria. They are classified as an Other Backward Class in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They live in the northern Indian states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Etymology According to William Crooke, the word ''Pashi'' derives from the Sanskrit word ''Pashika'', a noose used by Pasi to climb and tap Palm toddy, toddy, a drink obtained from palm trees. The tapping of toddy is the original occupation of the Pasi community. However, like other aspirational caste groups of India, Pasis have a myth of origin. Raebareli () is a city in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Raebareli district, and a part of Lucknow Division and comes under the Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region (UP-SCR).
