Raluca Sbîrcia
Raluca Sbîrcia (born 14 July 1989) is a Romanian épée fencer, bronze medallist in the 2013 World Fencing Championships. Sbârcia joined the Romanian national team in 2012 after Simona Gherman, Loredana Dinu, and Anca Măroiu took a post-Olympic break. Together with Maria Udrea, Simona Pop, and captain Ana Maria Brânză Ana Maria Popescu, formerly known as Ana Maria Brânză (, born 26 November 1984), is a Romanian left-handed épée fencer. Ana Maria Popescu, formerly known as Ana Maria Brânză (, born 26 November 1984), is a Romanian left-handed épée fencer. Popescu is a four-time team European champion, 2013 individual European champion, and two-time team world champion. A five-time Olympian, Popescu is a two-time individual Olympic silver medalist and 2016 team Olympic champion. Personal life Brânză was born in 1984 in the Rahova district of Bucharest, the second of two children. A very energetic child, she was pushed by her parents towards sport. She first tried tennis because the courts were not far from home, but she left after one year because she was the only left-handed player and because of the lack of competitive events. The 43rd FIE Fencing World Cup began in October 2013 and concluded in July 2014 at the 2014 World Fencing Championships held in Kazan. The World Cup medals were awarded during the FIE's gala dinner in Rome at Palazzo Colonna on 22 November 2014. Renata Knapik
Renata Knapik-Miazga (born 15 July 1988) is a Polish épée fencer, bronze medallist at the 2013 European Fencing Championships. Career Knapik took up fencing at a club in Kraków after playing with sticks as a child. When she was 14, she was forbidden by her doctors to continue fencing because of problems with her right hand. She switched her weapon hand and went on. She won both an individual and team bronze medal at the 2007 Junior European Championships, then a silver medal at the 2011 U23 European Championships. In the senior category she climbed her first World Cup podium in 2010 with a third place in Florina. She was national champion of Poland in 2012 and 2013. At the 2013 European Championships in Zagreb she reached the quarter-finals by defeating Ukraine's Anfisa Pochkalova, then lost to Romania's Ana Maria Brânză and came away with a bronze medal. Amalia Tătăran
Amalia Tătăran (born 15 July 1994 in Satu Mare) is a Romanian épée fencer, team silver medallist at the 2013 European Fencing Championships and team gold medallist at the 2015 European Games. Career Tătăran took up fencing at the age of 9 in Satu Mare, a Romanian fencing stronghold, under the guidance of coach Francisc Csiszar. She won a bronze medal at the 2010 Cadet World Championships in Baku. She also represented Romania at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, finishing fifth. In 2012, she became the youngest member of the Romanian national team. The same year she won the Romanian Cup after defeating in the final Olympic silver medallist Ana Maria Brânză.
