Ralph C. Capparelli
Ralph C. Capparelli (April 12, 1924 – December 31, 2020) was an American politician and member of the Illinois House of Representatives. Capparelli was born in Chicago in April 1924. He attended Prussing Grammar School and Taft High School. He also served in the United States Navy for three years, earning a Battle Star. He attended Northern Illinois University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in education. He taught classes for the Chicago Park District before taking on management positions with the district. He served as an assistant to Harry H. Semrow, a member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners. He married and had two children. He was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives as one of three legislators from the 16th district. In the 2001 decennial redistricting process, Capparelli was drawn into the same district as incumbent Republican legislator Michael McAuliffe and incumbent Democratic legislator Robert Bugielski. Mary O'Connor (alderman)
Mary E. O'Connor (born 1959) is a former Chicago city alderman. She was the first female alderman to represent the 41st Ward of Chicago on the Northwest side of the city - the largest geographic ward in Chicago including O'Hare International Airport. She was elected with 50.88% of the total vote on April 5, 2011 in a runoff election, replacing outgoing alderman Brian Doherty. Mary O'Connor is also the owner of Unforgettable Edibles and O'Connor's Deli and Market in the 41st Ward. Mary O'Connor served the 41st Ward as Democratic Ward Committeeman from 2008 to 2015. O'Connor lost reelection as alderman to Anthony Napolitano in 2015. Roman Conrad Pucinski (May 13, 1919 – September 25, 2002) was an American Democratic politician from Chicago, Illinois. He was a U.S. Representative from 1959 to 1973 and alderman from the 41st Ward of Chicago from 1973 to 1991. He was considered a longtime leader of Chicago Polonia and was seen to represent its interests in Washington. Early and family life He was born in Buffalo, New York, but moved to Chicago with his family as a child. In 1941, he graduated from Northwestern University. During World War II, he served in the Air Force. After the war, he attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago and graduated in 1949.
