Ralja (Sopot)
Ralja ( sr-cyrl, Раља) is a village in the Municipalities of Serbia, municipality of Sopot, Serbia, Sopot, Serbia. According to the 2022 census, the village has a population of 2,904 people. Elementary school was founded by the Ministry of Education in 1923. In 1959 it was named "Cana Marjanović" after the teacher and anti-Nazi activist Aleksandra Cana Marković (1910–1942) from the neighboring village of Popović (Sopot), Popović, who was executed in Jajinci#World War II, Jajinci. The school building was annexed in 1976, while the old part was reconstructed in 2020. The administrative districts () of Serbia are the country's first-level administrative divisions of Serbia, administrative division. The term ''okrug'' (pl. Sopot, Serbia
Sopot ( sr-Cyrl, Сопот, ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. According to the 2022 census results, the town has a population of 1,956 inhabitants while the municipality has 19,126 inhabitants. Location Sopot is located on the slopes of the Kosmaj mountain, south of Belgrade. The mountain is some away from the town. History The area has remains from Roman period. There is a masonry drinking fountain in Sopot, for which the Roman stones from some now disappeared structure were used. Jajinci
Jajinci ( sr-Cyrl, Јајинци, ) is an urban neighborhood located in the municipality of Voždovac, in Belgrade, Serbia. It was the site of the worst carnage in Serbia during World War II when German occupational forces executed nearly 80,000 people, many of them prisoners of the nearby Banjica concentration camp. Jewish women and children from German Sajmište concentration camp, killed in a special gas truck on their way to Belgrade were also buried here.
