Rajesh Kumar Singh (politician)
Rajesh Kumar Singh, also known as Raju Yadav, is an Indian politician who served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Council to the Nalanda local bodies from 2009 to July 2015. He won the M.L.C. election in July 2009 as a Lok Janshakti Party candidate. At present he is a member of Janata Dal (United). His wife Reena Devi also represents the same seat from 2015. Personal life He is married to Reena Devi who became member of Bihar Legislative Council after he retired from active politics in 2015. Bihar Legislative assembly also known as Bihar Vidhan Parishad is the upper house of the bicameral Bihar Legislature of the state of Bihar in India. History A new Province of Bihar and Odisha was created by the Government of India on 12 December 1911. The Legislative Council with a total of 43 members belonging to different categories was formed in 1912. The first sitting of the Council was convened on 20 January 1913 at Patna College Bankipore. In 1920 Bihar and Orissa declared governor province, as per Government of India Act 1919. As per Government of India Act 1935 Bihar and Orissa was split into separate provinces of Bihar and Orissa. Nitish Kumar (born 1 March 1951) is an Indian politician who has been serving as the 22nd chief minister of Bihar since 22 February 2015, having previously held the office from 2005 to 2014 and for a short period in 2000.
