Rajendra Bridge
Rajendra Setu, or Simaria Bridge, is a bridge across the Ganges that was the first to link the northern and southern portions of the state of Bihar. The location of the bridge was based on the work of M. Visvesvaraya, who was more than 90 years old at the time. In a wheelchair, he visited the bridge site on the special request of Bihar's chief minister, Shri Krishna Sinha. It was the first bridge over the Ganges to be built in independent India. The foundation stone of this bridge was laid by Dr Rajendra Prasad on 26 February 1956 in the seventh year of India's independence. The road-cum-rail bridge near Hathidah in Patna district and Simaria in Begusarai district was inaugurated in 1959 by Jawaharlal Nehru, prime minister of India, and Shri Krishna Sinha. Simaria Ghat
Simaria Ghat ( Maithili: सिमरिया घाट) is a holy place in Hinduism for the sacred bath known as ''Ganga Snaana'' in the Mithila region of Indian subcontinent. It is located at the bank of Ganga river near Simaria village of the Begusarai district in the present Bihar state of India. The sacred locations in the vicinity of the Simaria Ghat is called as ''Simaria Dhaama''. According to legend, it is believed as the ''Tapobhumi'' of the King Janaka in Mithila. It is said that the King Janaka started a famous ''Kalpavas Mela'' here in the Treta Yuga. The Kalpavas Mela is still very popular among the Hindu adherents in the region. Digha–Sonpur Bridge
The Digha–Sonpur bridge () or J. P. Setu () is a rail-cum-road steel truss bridge across river Ganga, connecting Digha Ghat in Patna and Pahleja Ghat in Sonpur. It is named after Indian independence activist Jayaprakash Narayan. It provides easy roadway and railway link between north and south Bihar. It is 4,556m in length and the second longest rail-cum-road bridge in India, after Bogibeel Bridge in Assam. Rail service was inaugurated on this route on 3 February 2016.
