Rajeev Kumar is a professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He fought with IITs to amend the eligibility criteria of admission through the JEE exams. Rajeev Kumar (Indian Politician)
Rajeev Kumar is a former Director General of Police of the state of Jharkhand. He held highly responsible positions during his career. He is a 1981 batch IPS officer. He was appointed as the DGP Jharkhand in the year 2013 and served for two years till February 2015. In the year 1997, he was awarded the President's Police Medal for Meritorious services and in the year 2014, he was also awarded the President's Police Medal for Distinguished services. Early life and education Rajeev Kumar was born in Lucknow to Anant Ram and Sheela Rani. His father was a well known IAS officer as well as a freedom fighter. Kumar completed his graduation in the year 1975 from the Allahabad University. He joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in the year 1979 and served for two years. Rajeev Kumar PPM IPS (b. 30 July 1966) is an Indian police officer and bureaucrat, who is serving as the Director General of West Bengal Police, since July 2024. Previously he served in the same post from December 2023 until was removed by Election Commission of India in March 2024. ''Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005'' is a reality series, an extension of the ''Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'' programme that was first aired in 1995 on Zee TV. With the new "Challenge" series, Zee TV brought 48 potential singers that are living in India.
