Rajan–Nagendra
Rajan–Nagendra were an Indian musical duo who were prominent composers of film music in Kannada and Telugu cinema from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Rajan, along with his brother Nagendra, created a niche for themselves for nearly four decades. The duo scored music for about 375 films, over 200 of them in Kannada and the remainder in other languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu, Hindi and Sinhala. They composed innumerable hits, hundreds of melodious tunes in their career spanning four decades. They also hold the record for the longest active musical pair in the industry. Childhood Rajan (1933–2020) and Nagendrappa (1935–2000) were born in Shivarampet of Mysore in a middle-class musical family. ''Eradu Kanasu'' () is a 1974 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by the duo Dorai–Bhagavan, and is based on the novel of the same name by Vani. The film stars Rajkumar, Kalpana and Manjula. The film was a musical blockbuster with all the songs composed by Rajan–Nagendra considered evergreen hits. They were awarded with the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Director for 1974–75. The movie saw a theatrical run of 30 weeks. The movie completed 100 days when it was re-released in 1982. ''Naa Ninna Mareyalare'' () is a 1976 Indian Kannada-language film directed by Vijay and produced by N. Veeraswamy. The film is based on the story ''Naanu Neenu Jodi'' by A. R. Anand. Tulu () in Kannada script, ml, തുളു ഭാഷെ in Malayalam script. ''bhāṣe'', , ''bhāśe'', and ''bāśe'' are alternative spellings for the Tulu word ''bāse'' in the Kannada script. The correct spelling for the word "language" in Kannada is kn, ಭಾಷೆ ''bhāṣe'', but that is not necessarily true in Tulu.
