Raj Manhas
Rajinder (Raj) Singh Manhas was the first Asian-American and the 17th Superintendent of Seattle Public Schools (2003-2007). He also served as the Superintendent of North Thurston Public Schools, Lacey, Washington (2009-2016). During 2008 he was executive director of Seeds of Compassion, a public event hosting the Dalai Lama held in Seattle to promote compassion in early childhood development and in communities. Prior to his work in the field of education, he held executive level positions with the City of Seattle and Rainier Bank/Security Pacific Bank. Rainier Bancorp
Rainier Bancorporation was the Seattle-based parent corporation of Rainier National Bank, a Washington state bank with branches throughout the state. Rainier traced its roots back to the National Bank of Commerce, which was founded by Richard Holyoke in 1889. The name Rainier National Bank was adopted in 1974. The Nisqually are a Lushootseed-speaking Native American tribe in western Washington state in the United States. They are a Southern Coast Salish people. They are federally recognized as the Nisqually Indian Tribe, formerly known as the Nisqually Indian Tribe of the Nisqually Reservation and the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation. Desmond Tutu
Desmond Mpilo Tutu (7 October 193126 December 2021) was a South African Anglican bishop and theologian, known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist. He was Bishop of Johannesburg from 1985 to 1986 and then Archbishop of Cape Town from 1986 to 1996, in both cases being the first Black African to hold the position.
