''Rainbow Revisited'' is a collaborative studio album by South African musician Thandi Ntuli and American composer and producer Carlos Niño, released on 17 November 2023, through Ndlela Music and International Anthem Recording Company. It received positive reviews from critics. Recording The album mainly consists of piano and Ntuli's voice, and was recorded in two days in a studio Venice Beach, California. Critical reception ''Rainbow Revisited'' received a score of 83 out of 100 on review aggregator Metacritic based on four critics' reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". Carlos Niño
Carlos Gabriel Niño (born February 16, 1977) is an American record producer, DJ, and music consultant. In 2023, he co-produced André 3000's debut studio album, '' New Blue Sun'' (2023). Radio Niño started his first radio show "All At One Point" at KPFK 90.7 FM in Los Angeles in October 1995 after volunteering at the station as a junior reporter and producer in the summer of 1994. "All At One Point" was focused on "hip-hop, soul, jazz, and world rhythms." While hosting the show on Wednesdays from 8–10 p.m., Niño played his favorite contemporary artists and featured live-in-studio performances and interviews with both established and up-and-coming artists and bands and DJs. DJ Organic, Hymnl, and Jon Liu all co-hosted the show with him at different times from 1995–1998. Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. International Anthem Recording Company is an American record label based in Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2012 by Scottie McNiece and David Allen, and launched in 2014, the label mostly releases records that have been categorised as jazz, with a particular focus on artists from the Chicago area. History The label formed when McNiece, a drummer originally from Indiana, moved to Chicago and started a live jazz night in a bar in the River North part of the city.
