Rainbow Jelly
''Rainbow Jelly'' ( bn, রেনবো জেলি) is a 2018 Bengali language Indian food fantasy film for children, written and directed by Soukarya Ghosal and starring Sreelekha Mitra, Kaushik Sen, Shantilal Mukherjee and introducing Mahabrata Basu and Anumegha Banerjee. The story revolves around a young boy with marginal IQ whose life changes dramatically when he begins to experience the different expressions of food that fill the taste buds and have varied reactions on people who savour them. Rainbow Jelly is the first-ever attempt in Food Fantasy Film genres, perhaps India’s first, made in Bengali language. Soukarya Ghosal ( bn, সৌকর্য ঘোষাল; born 7 June 1986) is an Indian filmmaker, director, screenwriter, illustrator and music composer. He is widely considered for his work in Rainbow Jelly, a food fantasy film for the children in Bengali Cinema. His first feature film was ''Pendulum'', bagged three awards in the 4th Mirchi Music Awards Bangla 2014 by Radio Mirchi. Ghosal made His second film ''Load shedding'' which he wrote and directed for Zee Bangla Cinema Originals, was a teenage love story set in the 90's. Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival (HBFF) is a Bengali film festival in the city of Hyderabad and is being organized annually since 2014. The venue of the festival is the Prasad Film Preview Labs, Hyderabad (adjacent to L V Prasad Eye Institute). The first edition of the film festival was held in the year 2014.
