Aloke Jaldata (born 1967) is an Indian politician from West Bengal. He is a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Raidighi Assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas district. He won the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election representing the All India Trinamool Congress party. Early life and education Jaldata is from Raydighi Abad, Raidighi, South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal. He is the son of late Kalipada Jaldata. He completed his MBBS at University of Calcutta and passed the examinations by West Bengal Medical Council in 1999. Debashree Roy
Debashree Roy (born 8 August 1962) also known as Debasree Roy, is an Indian actress, dancer, choreographer, politician and animal rights activist. She was a bankable star of Bengali cinema during 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. She received more than forty awards including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award. As a dancer, she is known for her stage adaptations of the various forms of Indian folk dances as well as her innovative dance forms imbued with elements from Indian classical, tribal and folk dance. 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in 2016 for 294 seats of the ''Vidhan Sabha'' in the Indian state of West Bengal. The All India Trinamool Congress under Mamata Banerjee won 211 seats, and thus was re-elected with an enhanced majority. Like in the 2011 election, the poll was held in six phases, with the first phase divided into two days. The first phase was held in Naxalite-Maoist affected red corridor areas with two polling dates: 4 April and 11 April. The other phases were held on 17, 21, 25, 30 April and 5 May. The result of the election was declared on 19 May.
