Raider Platoon
''Raider Platoon'' is a 1988 Filipino action film directed by Francis "Jhun" Posadas and starring Jess Lapid Jr., Philip Gamboa, Amanda Amores, Lezette Cordero, and Ernie Ortega. Produced by Ticar Films, it is about a group of Filipino marines who face off against Moro outlaws on an island in Mindanao. The film was released in theaters on July 7, 1988. Lavrente Indico Anciro Diaz (born December 30, 1958) is a Filipino independent filmmaker and former film critic. Frequently known as one of the key members of the slow cinema movement, having made several of the longest narrative films on record. Diaz is one of the most critically acclaimed contemporary Filipino filmmakers. Diaz started making films in the late 1990s. His first international exposure was at the Hong Kong International Film Festival in 1999 with his directorial debut Serafin Geronimo: Kriminal ng Baryo Concepcion (The Criminal of Barrio Concepcion).
