Rahul Khullar
Rahul Khullar (5 April 1953 – 23 February 2021) was an Indian Administrative Service, IAS officer of the 1975 batch and a former Chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Early life and education Khullar was in the 1969 undergraduate batch in Economics at the St. Stephen's College, Delhi where he was a contemporary of economist Kaushik Basu and NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar (economist), Rajiv Kumar. He completed his post-graduation from the Delhi School of Economics. He subsequently obtained a Ph.D in Economics from Boston University after joining the Indian Administrative Service in 1975. Career He was the Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Trade prior to his selection as Chairman of TRAI by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is the administrative arm of the All India Services of Government of India. Considered the premier civil service of India, the IAS is one of the three arms of the All India Services along with the Indian Police Service and the Indian Forest Service. Members of these three services serve the Government of India as well as the individual states. Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is a regulatory body set up by the Government of India under section 3 of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997. Ram Sewak Sharma
Ram Sewak Sharma is an Indian bureaucrat and former civil servant. From February 2021, he is serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority, an Indian governmental organisation tasked with managing public health insurance till February 2023. Previously, he has headed the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, and the Unique Identification Authority of India. Kaushik Basu (born 9 January 1952) is an Indian economist who was Chief Economist of the World Bank from 2012 to 2016. He is the C. Marks Professor of International Studies and Professor of Economics at Cornell University, and academic advisory board member of upcoming Plaksha University. Rajiv Kumar (born 6 July 1951) is an Indian economist who had served as the second vice-chairman of the NITI Aayog.
