Rahim Ullah
Rahim Ullah (; born 1 March 1958) is a Bangladeshi politician and the former member of parliament from Feni-3 constituency. Early life Rahim Ullah was born on 1 March 1958, to a Bengali Muslim family in Feni, Noakhali District, East Pakistan. Career Ullah was elected to Parliament from Feni-3 in 2014 Bangladesh General Election. He beat Anwarul Karim of the Jatiya Party in the election. He is the president of Bangladesh Awami League unit of Jeddah. He is a political rival of Nizam Hazari, fellow Bangladesh Awami League politician and Member of Parliament from Feni. Feni-3 is a constituency of the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh. Since 6 August 2024 the constituency is vacant. Boundaries The constituency encompasses Daganbhuiyan and Sonagazi upazilas. The Jatiya Party (, ; JaPa or JP(E)) is a political party of Bangladesh. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammed Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of opposition. Bangladesh Chhatra League, simply Chhatra League (), is the student wing of the political party, Bangladesh Awami League, founded by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 4 January 1948. The organisation is banned and listed as a terrorist organisation in Bangladesh. BCL has been repeatedly accused of committing mass violence including torture, extortion, forced prostitution, killings to instill fear. At least 33 people were killed and 1,500 were seriously injured from attacks by BSL between 2009 and 2014. Nizam Hazari
Nizam Uddin Hazari (born 1 January 1966) is an Awami League politician and a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Feni-2 constituency. Early life Hazari was born on 1 January 1966 to Dil Afroze Begum and Zainal Abedin. He has a B.com degree. Career Hazari started politics while he was a student of Chittagong Govt. Commerce College. In the 1990s Uddin worked under AJM Nasir Uddin in Chittagong. Uddin was sentenced to jail on an arms case on 22 March 1992. He returned to Feni in 1997 to work under Joynal Hazari. On 16 August 2000, a court in Chittagong sentenced Hazari to ten years imprisonment on an arms case. He was released after serving five years in jail.
