Kosaraju Raghavaiah
Kosaraju Raghavayya (23 June 1905 – 27 October 1987), known mononumously by his surname Kosaraju, was an Indian lyricist and poet known for his works in Telugu cinema. He wrote about 3,000 songs in 350 films. His lyrics are steeped in Telugu folklore and rural idiom. He was awarded the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for his contribution to Telugu cinema in 1984. He wrote memorable songs like "Eruvaka Sagaro", "Niluvave Vaalu Kanuladhana", "Illarikamlo Unna Maza", "Chethilo Dabbulu Poyene", "Anukunnadokkati Ainadi Okkati", "Ye Nimishana Yemi Jaruguno", "Jayammu Nischayammu ra", "Maa Voollo Oka Paduchundi". Vedantam Raghavayya
Vedantam Raghavayya (8 June 1919 –19,October 1971) was an Indian film director, dance choreographer, and actor known for his work in Telugu and Tamil cinema. An accomplished Kuchipudi dancer, he was honoured with the title "Bharata Kala Prapurna" by the Andhra Pradesh government in recognition of his expertise. Raghavayya began his career as a dance choreographer, working on films such as '' Raithu Bidda'' (1939) and '' Swarga Seema'' (1945). He made his directorial and production debut with ''Stree Sahasamu'' (1951). He went on to direct many notable films, including '' Devadasu'' (1953), '' Annadata'' (1954), '' Anarkali'' (1955), '' Prema Pasam'' (1956), '' Bhale Ramudu'' (1956), '' Chiranjeevulu'' (1956), ''Suvarna Sundari'' (1957), and '' Rahasyam'' (1967). Vennelakanti Raghavaiah
Vennelakanti Raghavaiah B.A., B.L. (June 1897 – 24 November 1981) was a social worker and Indian freedom activist.Raghavaiah Vennelakanti, Luminaries of 20th Century, Part II, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad, 2005, pp: 466-467. He was affectionately called "Girijan Gandhi" for his service to the Adivasi people. He is born at Singapeta village in Kovur Taluq of Nellore district to Vennelakanti Papayya and Subbamma. He completed Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from Madras University. He joined the Indian National Congress led by Mahatma Gandhi and participated in the Non-cooperation movement and Salt Satyagraha, and was jailed for 21 months. He was again arrested for participating in Quit India movement. He was elected to the Combined Madras State from the Nellore constituency for two terms.
