Raggasonic
Raggasonic are a French ragga group composed of Big Red (born Stéphane Joaquim), Daddy Mory (born Mory Samaké) and Frenchie They were discovered after the compilation ''Rapattitude'' was released in the early 1990s. Two official albums were released by Raggasonic: ''Raggasonic'' (1995) and ''Raggasonic 2'' (1997), both produced by Frenchie. The two members of Raggasonic, Big Red and Daddy Mory each pursuing solo careers. In 2012 they came back with a new album, ''Raggasonic 3''. Ragga
Raggamuffin music (or simply ragga) is a subgenre of dancehall and reggae music. The instrumentals primarily consist of electronic music with heavy use of sampling. Wayne Smith's " Under Mi Sleng Teng", produced by King Jammy in 1985 on a Casio MT-40 synthesizer, is a seminal ragga song. "Sleng Teng" boosted Jammy's popularity immensely, and other producers quickly released their own versions of the riddim, accompanied by dozens of different vocalists. Origins Ragga originated in Jamaica during the 1980s, at the same time that electronic dance music's popularity was increasing globally. Ragga spread to Europe, North America, and Africa, eventually spreading to Japan, India, and the rest of the world. Ragga heavily influenced early jungle music, and also spawned the syncretistic bhangragga style when fused with bhangra. La Haine
(, ; released in the United States as ''Hate'') is a 1995 French social thriller film written, co-edited, and directed by Mathieu Kassovitz. Starring Vincent Cassel, Hubert Koundé and Saïd Taghmaoui, the film chronicles a day and night in the lives of three friends from a poor immigrant neighbourhood in the suburbs of Paris. Starkey Banton aka Starkey Super (born David Murray, 15 November 1962) is a British reggae deejay known for his "cultural" lyrics, active since the mid-1970s.
