Ragdoll Physics
Ragdoll physics is a type of procedural animation used by physics engines, which is often used as a replacement for traditional static death animations in video games and Animation, animated films. As computers increased in power, it became possible to do limited real-time physical simulations, which made death animations more realistic. Early video games used manually created animations for a character’s death sequences. This had the advantage of low Central processing unit, CPU utilization, as the data needed to animate a "dying" character was chosen from a set number of pre-drawn frames. In contrast, a ragdoll is a collection of multiple rigid body, rigid bodies (each of which is ordinarily tied to a bone in the graphics engine's skeletal animation system) tied together by a system of constraints that restrict how the bones may move relative to each other. When the character dies, their body begins to collapse to the ground, honouring these restrictions on each of the joint ...

Rag Doll Kung Fu
''Rag Doll Kung Fu'' is a fighting video game developed by Qi Creations for Windows. created predominantly by artist Mark Healey, while working for Lionhead Studios, along with other Lionhead employees, such as David Smith and Alex Evans. ''Rag Doll Kung Fu'' is available from Valve's Steam content delivery platform. It is notable as the first third-party published game to be released on Steam. A remake developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, titled ''Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic'', was made available for download on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 on 9 April 2009. Gameplay The game features string puppets that allow for complete control over their hands, arms, and the like. The game is played with the mouse. An online multiplayer feature has been added to the game as well. Development The project was announced during an interview with Mark Healey by LHTimes. Pseudo
Pseudo- (from , ) is a prefix used in a number of languages, often to mark something as a fake or insincere version. In English, the prefix is used on both nouns and adjectives. It can be considered a privative prefix specifically denoting ''disproximation'', i.e. that the resulting word refers to something that has moved away from the core meaning of the base that the prefix is added to. The meaning is the same in French and Greek, but in Greek it also attaches to other word classes such as verbs and adverbs An adverb is a word or an expression that generally modifies a verb, an adjective, another adverb, a determiner, a clause, a preposition, or a sentence. Adverbs typically express manner, place, time, frequency, degree, or level of certainty by ans .... See also * References {{Reflist Prefixes ...

Featherstone's Algorithm
Featherstone's algorithm is a technique used for computing the effects of forces applied to a structure of joints and links (an "open kinematic chain") such as a skeleton used in ragdoll physics. The Featherstone's algorithm uses a reduced coordinate representation. This is in contrast to the more popular Lagrange multiplier method, which uses maximal coordinates.Brian Mirtich's PhD Thesishas a very clear and detailed description of the algorithm. Baraff's papehas a discussion and comparison of both algorithm In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm () is a finite sequence of Rigour#Mathematics, mathematically rigorous instructions, typically used to solve a class of specific Computational problem, problems or to perform a computation. It was initially developed for the PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles and on iOS, second-generation N-Gage, NDS, PSP, and Java-equipped mobile phone handhelds. The game was released in North America on September 16, 2008, in Australia and Southeast Asia on September 17, and in Europe on September 19. LucasArts released downloadable content for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. An ''Ultimate Sith Edition'' of the game, containing both new and previously released downloadable content, was released in November 2009, and later ported to Mac OS X and Windows. An enhanced remaster of the Wii version, developed by Aspyr, was released for the Nintendo Switch on April 20, 2022. The project bridges the first two ''Star Wars'' trilogies, acting as an origin story for both the united Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Civil War de ...
