Ragana (band)
Ragana is an American black metal duo from Olympia, Washington formed in 2011. In 2014, the band relocated to Oakland, California. As of 2024, both members have moved back to Olympia. The band has been described as a “queer antifascist black metal/doom duo". History Ragana formed in 2011 after the duo Maria Stocke and Noel Gilson met each other at a grocery store in Olympia, Washington and bonded over the Olympia black metal band Wolves in the Throne Room. Maria originated from Tacoma, Washington while Noel came from Southern California. The band’s name is the Latvian and Lithuanian word for "witch". The duo released their debut album ''All's Lost'' in 2012 and their second album ''Unbecoming'' in 2013. That year, both members moved to California. Olympia, Washington

The Dakota Access Pipeline Protests or the Standing Rock Protests, also known by the hashtag #NODAPL, NoDAPL, were a series of grassroots Native Americans in the United States, Native American protests against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline in the northern United States that began in April 2016. Cat Power
Charlyn Marie "Chan" Marshall ( ; born January 21, 1972), better known by her stage name Cat Power, is an American singer-songwriter. Cat Power was originally the name of her first band, but has become her stage name as a solo artist. Born in Atlanta, Marshall was raised throughout the southern United States and began performing in local bands in Atlanta in the early 1990s. After opening for Liz Phair in 1993, she worked with Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth and Tim Foljahn of Two Dollar Guitar, with whom she recorded her first two albums, ''Dear Sir'' (1995) and ''Myra Lee'' (1996), on the same day in 1994. Mount Eerie
Mount Eerie is the musical project of American songwriter and producer Phil Elverum. Elverum (also of the Microphones) is the principal member of the band, but has collaborated with many other musicians on his records and in live performances. Most of Mount Eerie's releases have been issued on Elverum's label P.W. Elverum & Sun, Ltd., and feature highly detailed packaging with his own artwork. Drowse is the musical project of American musician and producer Kyle Bates. Based in Portland, Oregon, Bates founded the project in 2013 and released the debut album, ''Soon Asleep'', in 2015. Bates collaborates with other musicians during his home recordings and live shows and creates interrelated audiovisual and installation artwork and writings under his own name. Roadburn Festival
The Roadburn Festival is an annual music festival held each April in Tilburg, Netherlands. It was founded by Walter Hoeijmakers and Jurgen van den Brand in 1999, who ran a stoner rock blog of the same name. The festival has been held at Tilburg's 013 concert hall since 2005. In the earliest years before that, multiple events were organised in a year throughout various cities in the Netherlands, such as Nijmegen and Eindhoven. It evolved into a multi-day event beginning in 2006, and shortly after, tickets began to sell out for the festival in under an hour as its audience grew internationally. The Microphones
The Microphones were an American indie folk, indie rock, and experimental project from Olympia, Washington. The project was founded in 1996 and ended in 2003, with a short reunion following in 2007 and revivals in 2019 and 2020-22. Across every iteration of the Microphones, the band's only permanent member was Phil Elverum. Elverum is the principal songwriter and producer behind the band's albums, but a rotating cast of several other musicians feature on his recordings and tours. Many of Elverum's recordings from the project's initial period were released by the label K Records. Since 2003, Elverum has recorded and performed primarily under the name Mount Eerie. He played a one-off concert in Anacortes, WA under the name the Microphones in June 2019 and announced the release of the fifth and final Microphones album, '' Microphones in 2020'', in August 2020.
