Rafał Augustyniak
Rafał Augustyniak (born 14 October 1993) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Ekstraklasa club Legia Warsaw. Club career In 2018, he signed for Miedź Legnica. On 21 June 2019, he signed with the Russian Premier League club FC Ural Yekaterinburg. Augustyniak left Ural on 31 May 2022 as his contract expired. On 30 July 2022, he returned to Polish Ekstraklasa, signing a three-year deal with Legia Warsaw. International career Rafał was called up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA) matches against Hungary, Andorra and England. He made his debut for Poland against England on 31 March 2021, coming in as a substitute. FC Ural Yekaterinburg () is a Russian professional association football club based in Yekaterinburg that plays in the Russian First League. History The club was founded in 1930 and was known as Avangard (1930–1948, 1953–1957), Zenit (1944–1946), Mashinostroitel (1958–1959), and Uralmash (1949–1952, 1960–2002). The 2015–16 Ekstraklasa was the 82nd season of the highest level of football leagues in Poland since its establishment in 1927. A total of 16 teams were participating, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2014–15 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the I Liga. The 2014–15 I liga is the 7th season of the Polish I liga under its current title, and the 67th season of the second highest division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1949. The league is operated by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). The league is contested by 18 teams. The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The season began on 1 August 2014, and concluded on 6 June 2015. After the 19th matchday the league will be on winter break between 1 December 2014 and 6 March 2015. According to the competition rules, all clubs are required to field at least one youth player (born on 1994 or later and Polish or trained in Poland) in every game (except for the times when the only youth player on the roster is sent off or unable to continue playing). II liga (Druga liga, ), currently named Betclic II liga due to its sponsorship by Betclic, is a Polish football league that sits at the third tier of the Polish football league system. Until the end of the 2007–08 season, ''II Liga'' referred to a league at the 2nd tier, although this changed with the formation of the Ekstraklasa as the top level league in Poland. Currently, II liga is below I liga and above III liga. The Russian Cup () is a football competition held annually by the Football Union of Russia for professional and some amateur (only after a special permission and licensing by Russian Football Union) football clubs. The winner of the competition ordinarily got a spot in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round.
