Rafael Chaves
Rafael Chaves (born January 11, 1968, in Isabela, Puerto Rico) is the current pitching coach for the Rochester Red Wings, the Washington Nationals’ Triple-A team. He was pitching coach of the Seattle Mariners in 2006 and 2007 and the pitching coach for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, the New York Yankees' Triple A team. He was the Los Angeles Dodgers minor pitching coordinator from 2008 to 2013 and a special assistant for player personnel in 2014. On October 7, 2014, he was hired by the Philadelphia Phillies to become a pitching coordinator for them. As a professional player, Chaves was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Padres in 1986. Mel Stottlemyre
Melvin Leon Stottlemyre Sr. (November 13, 1941 – January 13, 2019) was an American professional baseball pitcher and Coach (baseball)#Pitching coach, pitching coach. He played for 11 seasons in Major League Baseball, all for the New York Yankees, and coached for 23 seasons, for the Yankees, New York Mets, Houston Astros, and Seattle Mariners. He was a five-time Major League Baseball All-Star Game, MLB All-Star as a player and a five-time World Series champion as a coach.
