Rafael Alexandre de Sousa Gancho de Brito (born 19 January 2002) is a Portuguese professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defensive Midfielder, defensive midfielder for Primeira Liga club Casa Pia A.C., Casa Pia. Football career Born in Almada, Brito made his professional debut with S.L. Benfica B, Benfica B in a 2–1 win over G.D. Estoril Praia, Estoril Praia in LigaPro on 11 August 2019. On 29 June 2022, Benfica sent Brito on a season-long Loan (sports), loan to Primeira Liga side C.S. Marítimo, Marítimo. On 1 July 2023, Benfica announced the permanent transfer of Brito to Primeira Liga side Casa Pia, while maintaining 50% of the player's economic rights. Almada
Almada () is a city and a municipality in Portugal, located on the southern margin of the Tagus River, on the opposite side of the river from Lisbon. The two cities are connected by the 25 de Abril Bridge. The population of the municipality in 2011 was 174,030, in an area of 70.21 km2. The urbanized core center, the city of Almada proper, had a population of 101,500 in 2001. It makes part of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. UEFA Youth League
The UEFA Youth League is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) since 2013. In its current format, it is contested by the under-19 teams of the clubs competing in the UEFA Champions League league phase, plus the domestic youth champions of the best-ranked national associations. The semi-finals and final matches have been traditionally played at the Colovray Stadium in Nyon, Switzerland, although for the 2022–23 edition, they were moved to the Stade de Genève due to increased interest in the tournament from the supporters of the participating clubs. 2019–20 UEFA Youth League
The 2019–20 UEFA Youth League was the seventh season of the UEFA Youth League, a European youth club football competition organised by UEFA. Following the round of 16, the competition was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. The final tournament consisting of the semi-finals and final, originally scheduled to be played on 17 and 20 April 2020 at the Colovray Stadium in Nyon, Switzerland, were officially postponed on 18 March 2020. In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time. A loan fee can be arranged by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a percentage of their wages. Association football Players may be loaned out to other clubs for several reasons.
