Raed Al-Jishi
Raed Al-Jishi (Arabic: رائد الجشي) a poet and a translator from Saudi Arabia. He was born in Al-Qatif Governorate in 1396 AH. He published books that vary between poetry, novel and literary translations. His poems have been translated into English, Italian, French, and other languages. Some of his notable works are the novel ''(Gulf Snake)'' and Diwan ''(Fragments of Love)''. He won several literary prizes, including the Golden Cup award for the best poetry book translated into Italian, in the (Citta del Galletto – Fifth Edition) competition in southern Italy in 2018. King Faisal University
King Faisal University (KFU) ( ') is a public university in Hofuf, Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1975, it is named after King Faisal bin Abdulalziz, the ruler of Saudi Arabia from 1964 until 1975. A diwan (from Persian language, Persian ; ) is a collection of Poetry, poems by a single author – usually excluding the poet's Mathnawi (poetic form), long poems – in Islamic cultures of West Asia, Central Asia, North Africa, Sicily and South Asia. The vast majority of Diwan poetry was Lyric poetry, lyric in nature: either ghazals (or ''gazel''s, which make up the greatest part of the repertoire of the tradition) or ''kasîde''s.
